I am a Washington, D.C.-based actor, singer, musician, and dancer driven by art focused change, community, and collaboration.

hey there! i’m

Sadie Koopman

In 2024, I played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Lucetta in The Rover at The Klein Theatre as a part of The Shakespeare Theatre Company summer repertory season. I also performed in the world premiere musical adaptation of The Tempest with Devil’s Isle Theatre Company.

I am originally from Cincinnati, OH where I grew up with five other musically-inclined siblings. All of our traditions involve singing and sharing music, which is what inspired me to pursue a double major at Oklahoma City University. I graduated with a BM in Music Theatre and a BM in Vocal Performance in 2023.

Directly after graduating, I knew I wanted to start my career as a part of the vibrant D.C. theatre community. I immediately dove into an MFA in Classical Acting with George Washington University at The Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy. Currently, I am a part of the dance faculty at The Catholic University of America, and creating my own community of artists along the way.
